Chairperson statement

It is an honour to be elected as your chairperson for another year. My main objective for the coming years is to "share knowledge". As with all members, we only have one vote to decide which equities the club buys or sells.

I hope that this "shared knowledge" gives every member a greater awareness of the key fundamentals and trading conditions before choosing a new investment or even selling an existing holding. The growth of Glasgow investment club will always be paramount in deciding how to lead the club in the coming year.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome any new members who are thinking of joining the club and want to expand their knowledge of investing in shares. We are a friendly group and between all the members, there is a wealth of knowledge that can be tapped into. Please feel free to come along to one of regular meetings.

The club has made great progress and has consistently outpaced the market. This is not without thanks to all its members who volunteer their time and effort to achieve this. Please continue to bring your ideas, suggestions, share tips and humour to the meetings.
